Novosis is a composite bone graft material consisting of 100% hydroxyapatite ceramic with bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) and sterile water for injection packaged separately. It has biocompatibility, osteoinductivity and high inductivity.
“BMP(Bone Morphogenetic Protein)-2” is a member of the transforming growth factor (TGF) superfamily that is associated with bone and cartilage growth and repair.
Synthetic hydroxyapatite as one of the Novosis components is high purity, implantable carrier, and has trabecular structure that resembles the 3-dimensional interconnected pore structure of human cancellous bone.
Comes in 0.5mg, 1.0mg and 3.0mg of rhBMP-2.
